Factory / Workshop Productions


 

If a province has been upgraded with a working factory, it is able to produce advanced weapon technologies depending on the upgrade level of the factory. These allow more advanced strategies and are essential in the later course of the game. The following list provides an overview over the different types of weapons and their features.

Production times depend on the factory level; the production time given is the time needed when the factory level you reached is just the required one. If the factory level is higher than actually needed for a certain weapon, the building time will decrease.

Normal Units

 

Armored Car

  • Requires workshop level 1
  • Costs: 7,000 pounds, 2,000 iron ore, 1,500 oil
  • Production time: 2 days divided by workshop level
  • Strength: 1.2 / 0.4 (sea)
  • Speed: 72 km/h / 21 km/h (sea)

Artillery

  • Requires factory level 1
  • Costs: 10,000 pounds, 3,000 iron ore, 2,000 oil
  • Production time: 4 days divided by factory level
  • Strength: 1.5 / 0.5 (sea)
  • Speed: 25 km/h / 21 km/h (sea)
  • Range: 50

Tank

  • Requires factory level 2
  • Costs: 20,000 pounds, 5,000 iron ore, 3,000 oil
  • Production time: 6 days divided by factory level
  • Strength: 4 / 0.5 (sea)
  • Speed: 36 km/h / 21 km/h (sea)

Railgun

  • Requires factory level 3plus railway
  • Costs: 50,000 pounds, 10,000 iron ore, 5,000 lumber, 5,000 coal, 10,000 oil
  • Production time: 12 days divided by factory level
  • Strength: 3 / 0.5 (in water and when fighting in low-range; railguns will not fire when stationed in water)
  • Speed: 13 km/h / 21 km/h (sea)
  • Range: 150
  • Special notes: Can only be moved on railways or sea. Needs a railway in the corresponding province

Battleship

  • Requires factory level 3 plus harbour
  • Costs: 50,000 pounds, 15,000 iron ore, 5,000 lumber, 10,000 coal, 5,000 oil
  • Production time: 12 days divided by factory level
  • Strength: 6 / 6 (sea)
  • Speed: 30 km/h (sea)
  • Range: 75
  • Special notes: Can only be moved on sea. Needs a harbour in the corresponding province

 

 

Special Units

 

In gold rounds three more units become available, if the option „Extra Units" is chosen when creating the game. You can find more information on these units in the next chapter.

 

 

Notes:

  • The default speed of infantry units is 36 km/h if enough oil is available. Railways increase this speed by a factor of 2.5 (infantry therefore moves at 90 km/h on railways. Armies are slowed down in foreign countries - depending on whether they move in friendly or enemy territory. On sea, the speed of all land-based units is 21 km/h. See the chapter Warfare for more information on unit speed.
  • The strength of a normal infantry brigade (1,000 men / 1 unit) is 1.0. Battleships are therefore the most powerful weapons as they have a combat strength equivalent to that of 6,000 men.
  • Sea transportation: All land units in transport ships have a reduced strength of 0.5 and can only fight in close combat. Artillery units will only work like normal infantry when at sea.
